** AADHAR will be 12 numbers and VID will be 16 numbers in length.

Enter your 12 digit AADHAR number and Captcha at https://resident.uidai.gov.in/vid-generation

Lock / Unlock AADHAR:

1. From your registered mobile number, send the below SMS to 1947: GETOTP <SPACE> <last_6_digits_of_VID>
   E.g:                  GETOTP 320561                             –> Send that SMS to 1947
2. You will get the OTP on your registered mobile number
   Eg:      559341
3. To lock the UID:    Send an sms to 1947:                      LOCKUID <SPACE> <last_6_digits_of_VID> <SPACE> <6_digit_OTP>
   In this case:         LOCKUID 320561

4. To unlock the UID:   Send a sms to 1947:                      UNLOCKUID <SPACE> <last_6_digits_of_VID> <SPACE> <6_digit_OTP>
